Whether you are a longtime fan of the movie genre or you are just looking for a new show to watch, there are a lot of different movies to choose from. These include movies like Die Hart, Punk'd, and The A-Team. They are all incredibly fun to watch and they are also great for children.
Earlier this year, Roku made the move into original television programming. Roku Originals includes award-winning scripted entertainment and engaging documentaries. It also includes several new breakout unscripted series. The Roku Channel is the company's exclusive home for these projects. It is available on both Android and iOS devices, as well as on select Samsung TVs.
In addition to originals, The Roku Channel offers library content. Some examples include Adult Swim's Tuca & Bertie and Joe Pera Talks with You. The channel also works with third-party partners to distribute linear feeds. It's also bolstered by local networks. In fact, half of the top 10 on-demand titles by reach on The Roku Channel were Roku Originals in 2021.
The Roku Channel is also expanding internationally, and is available in the U.S., Canada, and other countries. In fact, the company's biggest original content play to date is Weird: The Al Yankovic Story. It stars Daniel Radcliffe as tennis pro Al Yankovic, and is directed by Alex Winter, who also helmed the Oscar-nominated short film "Welcome to the Jungle". It will be free on Roku in November, and is being screened at the Toronto International Film Festival in September.
Roku is up against competitors like Netflix and Disney, as well as smaller streamers like Apple TV and Amazon's Fire TV. However, the company doesn't see Netflix as a direct competitor. In fact, Roku is hoping that free streaming will continue to gain popularity.
Roku is a great example of a company that is leveraging its inexpensive streaming devices to create original content. The company recently announced that it will revive ABC's "The Great American Baking Show". The show will air in 2023. It is a companion to the popular series "The Great British Baking Show."
Roku Originals has also made some other interesting plays. The company acquired the assets of short-lived mobile streamer Quibi, which gave it access to exclusive titles and insights into the preferences of its audience.

Laugh Out Loud is a multi-platform entertainment brand, whose illustrious flagship show is a television series in its own right. It's no surprise, then, that The Roku Channel has a well-rounded collection of award-winning scripted series, documentaries and alternative programming.
The Roku Channel boasts more than 80,000 free TV shows and movies to choose from. The channel is available on both the Roku and Samsung Smart TVs. The service supports Chromecast and Apple AirPlay (2018+ models). A Samsung Smart TV user can enjoy more than 300 live linear streaming channels. The Roku Channel also has an extensive library of high-quality films, documentaries and alternative programming.
One of the best parts about The Roku Channel is the wide range of original programming it offers. This includes a number of 'firsts' including the first ever streaming original series from Hollywood. It's also the first place to see the latest and greatest from the stars of the TV, film and comic book worlds. Among the many shows, the show that made the biggest splash was Die Hart, which stars Kevin Hart in a fictionalized version of himself. In the series, Hart goes to action star school led by John Travolta.
There are dozens of other new original series on the way. The best part about this new lineup is that they are all free. And if you're a die-hard fan of Die Hart, then you're in luck, because the show has been renewed for a second season.
In the coming months, Roku will be introducing a number of other original series to its line up. The channel will also add 30 Quibi shows to its roster of streaming originals in May.

The Roku Channel's biggest original movie has already broken records for the streaming service. It is the first Roku Original to break the one million-viewer mark for an opening weekend. In fact, Weird was the most-watched video-on-demand program on the service during its first weekend.

Streaming service Roku has announced the revival of the hidden camera practical joke television show Punk'd. Originally created for the short-form mobile subscription service Quibi, the show is hosted by Chance the Rapper and features celebrity guests. The show is currently free to watch on the Roku Channel.
The prank has been around for years and was first popularized by the Howard Stern show. During the show, a cast member would pretend to interview celebrities at red carpet events, and would then insult them in an effort to get them to reveal their innermost secrets. A similar gimmick was used by Ryan Pinkston, a reporter from a children's television show, in a similar quest to make a fool of a celebrity.
The show was a hit, and a big reason for the success was a clever ad campaign, which saw celebrities like Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher being portrayed as punks. The show also boasted the most notable celebrity guest list of any hidden camera show to date.
The show is a bit of a stretch, but it's still one of the best shows on the channel. The first season of Punk'd featured 19 episodes, including an episode titled "That '90s Show," which featured Kutcher and Kunis starring in a remake of "Halloween." It ended with a climax in early June with the premiere of the Punk'd Awards. The show has been revived for a second season on the Roku Channel. The channel has also acquired Quibi content and is slated to produce more than 50 shows in the next two years.
There's no official word yet on the show's third season, but it's expected to follow in the footsteps of other big name shows. The Roku Channel is a convenient way to watch movies and television shows without having to pay for them, and offers content for everyone, no matter what their tastes are.
Streaming service Roku has revealed its first round of Quibi Originals, 30 shows that had previously been exclusive to Quibi. These shows will be available on The Roku Channel starting May 20. These shows will be marketed through Roku's ad unit below the left side navigation.
The Roku Originals launch lineup includes reality programming, documentaries, and unscripted series. It also includes a handful of alternative programming. For example, the new show, "Die Hart" is a sendup of action thrillers starring Kevin Hart. Currently, a handful of the ex-Quibi shows are available on Roku, but the majority will be released later this year.
The originals are designed to be short, 10-minute bites that viewers can watch on the go. Roku executives will monitor the performance of new content to determine if the shows are renewed or canceled.
The launch lineup also includes "Reno 911!", an interactive law enforcement parody. "Chrissy's Court," a reality series that explores deep-rooted issues in society, will also be available.
"Roku Originals" will also include an award-winning series from Emmy-winner Laurence Fishburne. The show is also produced by Antoine Fuqua. Another series, "Most Dangerous Game", is a retelling of a classic short story starring Liam Hemsworth.
In addition to the 30 Quibi Originals that are available on The Roku Channel, Roku has announced that it will release more Roku Originals in the coming months. It plans to release all 75 Quibi titles by the end of 2021.
The Roku Originals are available for free on Roku, in the US and Canada, with ads. Roku will market shows through its ad unit and coveted slot in the navigation menu. Roku's executives will also monitor the performance of new content and make decisions to renew or cancel shows based on internal metrics.
