Critics commended the film's director, script, acting (especially by Boseman, Jordan, and Wright), costume design, production values, and soundtrack, but some panned the CGI visual effects. A meteorite containing the element vibranium causes conflict amongst five African tribes a few thousand years ago. To become the first "Black Panther," one warrior must consume a "heart-shaped herb" infused with the metal and therefore achieve superhuman skills. He brings everyone together to build the nation of Wakanda, except for the Jabari Tribe. Over the course of centuries, the people of Wakanda have used vibranium to create cutting-edge technology while maintaining an outward appearance of a Third World nation. Wakanda's king, T'Chaka, pays his brother N'Jobu a visit in 1992, while N'Jobu is living a double life as an undercover police officer in Oakland, California. T'Chaka has blamed N'Jobu for Ulysses Klaue, a black market armaments trader, taking vibranium from Wakanda. When T'Chaka suspected that N'Jobu's partner was actually Zuri, another undercover Wakandan, Zuri came clean.
After his father T'Chaka's death in the present day, his son T'Challa has returned to Wakanda to assume the kingdom. Together with the Dora Milaje's leader, Okoye, he rescues T'Challa's ex-lover Nakia from an undercover operation so that she, T'Challa's mother Ramonda, and T'Challa's younger sister Shuri can celebrate T'Challa's coronation. T'Challa is challenged for his throne by M'Baku, chief of the rival Jabari Tribe, in a ritualized showdown. T'Challa wins the battle with M'Baku and convinces him to surrender rather than die.
W'Kabi, Okoye's companion and T'Challa's lover, begs him to bring Klaue back alive after he and his partner, Erik Stevens, steal a Wakandan relic from a London museum. Whereas Klaue intends to sell the relic to CIA agent Everett K. Ross, T'Challa, Okoye, and Nakia go to Busan, South Korea to prevent this. As gunfire erupts, T'Challa catches Klaue and unwillingly hands him over to Ross. Klaue explains to Ross that Wakanda's public persona abroad is a facade for a highly advanced technical society. While Ross is severely hurt defending Nakia, Erik launches an attack and pulls Klaue out. T'Challa decides against going after Klaue and instead brings Ross to Wakanda, where the advanced medical technology may be able to save his life.
T'Challa confronts Zuri about N'Jobu while Shuri treats Ross. According to Zuri, N'Jobu had planned to help oppressed people of African heritage all over the world by sharing Wakanda's technological advancements with them. However, when T'Chaka attempted to arrest N'Jobu, N'Jobu attacked Zuri and forced T'Chaka to kill him. T'Chaka gave Zuri strict instructions to tell everyone that N'Jobu had vanished without a trace, and that he had taken his American son with him. This young lad became Stevens, a U.S. Navy SEAL who went by the alias "Killmonger," for his black ops work. Killmonger, meantime, has Klaue killed and has brought his body to Wakanda. After being captured, he declares himself to be N'Jadaka in front of the tribal elders and stakes his claim to the kingdom. After challenging T'Challa to ritual battle, Killmonger murders Zuri, severely injures T'Challa, and throws him off a cliff, where he is thought to have died. Nakia takes out one of the heart-shaped herbs before Killmonger eats it and burns the rest. Killmonger, with the help of W'Kabi and his army, is getting ready to send out shipments of Wakandan weapons to operatives all across the world.
Upon realizing they are in danger, Nakia, Shuri, Ramonda, and Ross seek refuge with the Jabari Tribe. They find an unconscious T'Challa, who the Jabari saved in exchange for M'Baku's life. T'Challa, having been healed by Nakia's herb, goes back to fighting Killmonger, who has now put on his own nanotech suit like T'Challa's. W'Kabi and his troops face off against Shuri, Nakia, and the Dora Milaje, while Ross pilots a jet from afar and destroys vibranium-armed aircraft. T'Challa is bolstered by M'Baku and the Jabari who have arrived. When Okoye appears, W'Kabi and his troops retreat. T'Challa fights Killmonger in the vibranium mine of Wakanda, where he destroys Killmonger's armor and stabs him. Killmonger declines treatment, opting to die a free man rather than be imprisoned; T'Challa takes him to watch the sunset over Wakanda, and Killmonger passes away quietly.
T'Challa has Nakia and Shuri administer a community center on the site of N'Jobu's death. T'Challa makes a surprise appearance at the United Nations in the middle of the credits to tell the world about Wakanda. Shuri aids Bucky Barnes in his recuperation in a scene that plays after the credits roll.

In this part, we are going to introduce some important cast of Black Panther Wakanda Forever.
The ruler of the African nation of Wakanda, played by Chadwick Boseman in "Black Panther," is named T'Challa.
People can fortify their bodies by consuming the heart-shaped plant. After his father, T'Chaka, is killed in Captain America: Civil War, his son takes the throne (2016).
T'Challa is an anti-hero who is "very much aware" of his duty as King of Wakanda, according to Boseman's description of him.
Ta-Nehisi Coates' Black Panther: A Nation Under Our Feet provided the inspiration for Black Panther's form-fitting outfit, designed by Brian Stelfreeze.
Boseman worked with the same dialect coach he used for Message from the King (2016), to perfect his Wakandan accent, and he trained with Marrese Crump to maintain his physical fitness between filming Civil War and Black Panther.
Boseman studied Shaka Zulu, Patrice Lumumba, Nelson Mandela's speeches, and Fela Kuti's music; spoke with a Yoruba Babalawo; practiced Dambe, Capoeira Angola, and Zulu stick fighting; and even underwent a DNA test to learn more about his African background.
Michael B. Jordan as N'Jadaka / Erik "Killmonger" Stevens, a U.S. Navy SEAL in black ops who plots to overthrow his cousin T'Challa, with his own ideas about how Wakanda ought to be governed. Jordan compared the dynamic between Killmonger and T'Challa to that of Magneto and Professor X from the X-Men, saying he'd wanted to portray a villain for "a while. He went on to say that Killmonger is well-prepared, methodical, and patient. The ceremonial, rough tribal marks on Killmonger's chest and torso were created using 90 individually molded silicone molds and required two and a half hours to apply. They mimic the scar tattoos of the Mursi and Surma tribes. Jordan would have to spend two hours in a sauna every night to get the prosthetics off. Killmonger's dreadlocks were a fresh update on his long comic book hair. Jordan read up on Huey P. Newton, Fred Hampton, Tupac Shakur, and others like them to get into character. The Dark Knight (2008), in which Heath Ledger portrayed the Joker, was also an inspiration for him. Jordan's trainer was Corey Calliet, with whom he had previously collaborated on Creed (2015).
