  1. Why can't I download 1080p videos from Netflix, Max or other OTT services?

Please refer to the Product Page for the resolutions supported by StreamFab.

If you can't download 1080p videos from Netflix, please contact us through https://www.dvdfab.cn/contact.htm, attaching the log file and video title.

Moreover, the resolution of a downloaded video depends on the highest playback quality and how the video is DRM-encrypted. The reason why StreamFab fails to download 1080p video may be that the OTT service undergoes a DRM upgrade or there is a limitation on the maximum playback quality of the video. For example, Disney+ limits the highest playback quality to 720P in any browser.

  1. Does VIP services of StreamFab support downloading 4K or 8K videos?

The resolution of a downloaded video depends on the highest playable quality and how the video is DRM-encrypted. Currently, StreamFab supports downloading 4K videos from some OTT services, such as Max. And it supports downloading 4K/8K videos from some online websites to watch on 4K/8K UHD TVs.

  1. Why is streamfab not working/always crashes?

Please uninstall the software and clear cache. After restarting the computer, download StreamFab from https://www.dvdfab.cn/downloader.htm and try again. The cache folder at C:\Users\xxx\Documents\DVDFab\StreamFab\temp

  1. Why does my Mac show a space shortage?

StreamFab does not support cloud space storage. Please store downloaded videos on your local hard drive. Or you can clean up the contents of the following folder: C:\Users\xxx\Documents\DVDFab\StreamFab\Temp\outputTemp

  1. Why does the video play without sound after being downloaded?

Please change the playback software to play again, such as VLC or PlayerFab. If it still cannot be resolved, please contact us through https://www.dvdfab.cn/contact.htm and attach the video link and log file. The default location for the log file is: C:\Users\xxx\Documents\DVDFab\StreamFab\Log

  1. Is StreamFab safe and legit?

  1. Why get a message that I have reached today's downloads when I download?

Fair Use Policy: StreamFab is legal only for personal needs and it's not allowed to share the downloaded content with any third party.

A StreamFab licensed account has a quota of 50 downloads per day, and 350 downloads per week from each supported streaming service, which is to avoid being blocked by streaming providers. Whenever some of it is used up, it will refill during the next time cycle.

  1. Under my account, I have DRM Video Downloader, why I can't use the new product DRM M3U8/DRM MPD Downloader?

Users who have DRM Video Downloader can get the new service in VIP Service for free, not including Adult Serices. DRM M3U8/DRM MPD Downloader is a general download module and is not included.
