Apple TV Downloader

The problem I kept running into was Apple's FairPlay system. I'd download an episode on my MacBook for reference, come back to it three weeks into a project, and find it expired. Re-downloading consumed time and required an active subscription — inconvenient when I'm referencing content across multiple platform subscriptions simultaneously. I started using StreamFab about seven months ago.

The capture quality has been consistent — I'm downloading primarily in 4K H.265 with Dolby Vision metadata preserved, which gives me a reliable reference copy that renders correctly on my studio monitor. A typical 50-minute Apple TV+ episode comes in at 6 to 8 GB in this format, which is manageable. The metadata integration with Plex has been particularly useful: every episode I download gets correctly labeled with its series, season, and episode number without any manual intervention. I'm a frequent flier — roughly 80,000 miles per year, mostly transatlantic routes to London and Frankfurt. I've had an Apple One subscription for two years, but the problem is the 48-hour rule.
